Student Book
Upper Elementary students are quickly developing into teenagers. They're testing their boundaries and trying to establish their own identity. Bible Adventures is a four-page take-home leaflet that inspires the children in this in-between stage to not only talk the talk- but to walk the walk. The first page usually contains a poignant story or activity that will address a specific life need. The Bible study pages are used to teach Bible truths. The art integrates modern-day and Bible art- as well as providing Afrocentric depictions of characters. Students also get tidbits of information regarding Bible times as well as phonetic pronunciation of difficult words. The last page of Bible Adventures is generally designed to elicit a practical response to what has been learned. Students are often encouraged to memorize a Scripture and to apply that Scripture to their lives. Bible Adventures is used as an in-class paper that goes along with the lesson- and can be taken home and referred to during the week.
